Please tell me your opinion on what species of discus this is. I've found a few where it looked like that species in the first pics, but found better pics and it didn't look like them anymore. The LFS told me they were "blood parrot discus" but I have never heard of that and can find no info for it. Please help!!

It looks a little to me like the virgin red in the first pic on this page.. but I'm not sure. What do you think?

I thought it might be...some of the other PB I've seen have a white 'marbleing' to them...they're REALLY awesome!!!

I know what your talking about.. I think this is the 'tangerine' strand Not completely sure.. but definitely a pigeon blood :D

sorry for dessired but it is a malboro red discus, as the way it is young the coloring and the strains are hidden, but my experience with discus made me sure about what i'm writing. Pigeon blood is lighter and have marked strains around it's body, malboro red have no strains and as it is getting adult (maybe after the 1st year) its body will turn shinny red. Both are nice species, but for me, pigeon is very beautiful.
