Could anyone give me their opinion as to what they think this fish is?

Pics 1 and 2 are the same fish.
Pics 3 and 4 are of another fish.
I do believe they are the same species of fish though.

Sorry, i dont know what they are, there was a post on here not to long ago with the same cichlids, i just have to say those pics and fish are wonderful dude, so much color in them, what size are they?

thanks for the kind words and yes they are awesome fish!
the fish in pics 1 and 2 is about 17cm.
the one in pics 3 and 4 is about 12cm.

That is truly a beautiful fish you have there. i have never seen a fish like yours. wow, make sure you take real good care of him.

Def in the Surinamensis Family - perhaps Abalios?

Yea i dont know the scientific name but i have heard these fish refered to as red eartheaters or earthmovers.

would this help anyone with a more certain ID of the fish?
the eggs are non-adhesive...
female and male were mouth-brooding some, but seemed to have missed these ones... so I siphoned them out myself as it didin't look like they were going to be picking them up.

Hi Ander - Abalios - not megasema - Megasema have a black spot on the Operculum(gill plate). Abalios means "without spot".
