anybody else having a problem with this software losing the password and logging you out? i cant stay logged in, in fact i'll be lucky to be able to post this. when i click "submit" it'll ask me to login again and then lose my password again. i have the same problem using another computer at another site, so i dont think it's a local problem with a "cookie" file.

Hi fred

Obviously you got in, but for those who can't or if you continue to have the same problem:

Make sure that your browser(s) are set to accept cookies from this domain. IE 6.0: Check privacy settings.

If that doesn't work, please e-mail (since logging on is impossible or very difficult) admin-cichlidforums.com (replace the hyphen with @) with the following information: The browser and version you use, your ISP (e.g., AOL, CS), and whether you're attempting to enter www.cichlidforums.com or cichlidforums.com.

Thanks.

After reading a couple of e-mails, I think the problem was a difference in logging on with or without the www before the domain name. I tried it on a computer that I've never entered this site with, and I had the same problem (i.e., when I switched between www.cichlidforums.com and cichlidforums.com). I could see my username logged on at the bottom of the screen, but not at the top, and I was prompted again for a username/password upon trying to post. Sound familiar?

Please try now. If you still have problems, you need to either empty your browser cache or delete the php2BB cookie, or both.

thanks Tom, its working now although im not sure why putting a www in front should make any difference. it might make a difference in connecting to your web server at first, but once a connection is established, it should be the same. i also visit reefs.org and i think that site has the same "cookie" file name, but i didnt have trouble before. but everything is good now. thanks
