Sup yall:D

I had a question about adequate filtration for a 55 gallon tank. The tank came with a penguin 330 dual bio wheel filter. Is that enough? And I change the water (With a siphon) every 2-3 weeks. I was thinking of adding a powerhead but I was wondering if i need it and if so how powerful (gph). thnx in advance.

I always say get a back-up filter. If you run two, you have less chance of one stopping and killing your fish. I run an Emp 330 and an AquaClear 500 on my 55g. The more times your filters can cycle over the entire volume of tank water, the better off your fish will be especially if you don't water change weekly.

I run a Penguin 330 and a Penguin 170 on my tank. They both came with it when I bought it used. Water is crystal clear :)

thnx for the responses guys. 2 filters it is. i have a 40 gallon filter that i'll use as a backup. that way i don't have to spend xtra money on a powerhead. that should be enough water movement right?
