Hay Guys!
Question; which of the indicators do you think are the most accurate.
The thermometor inside the glass tub, or the strip that changes colors.

I put 2 on every tank I own. All have the strip on the outside. Some have a thermometer on the inside, others have probes with digital readouts. Which is the best? They all do a good job. My opinion: Strips are cheap to buy but the least accurate.(still do a good job, but I have found about a 1 - 2 degree varience) Inside thermometers are real accurate and easier to read. (cheap to buy as well). Digital probes are the most accurate, reading into tenths of a degree and having large lcd displays. (I can read mine from about 8 feet away) Most are capible of displaying in Far.. or Cel.. and can show you the room temp. as well. Some have alarms built in, in case your water temp. gets too low or too high. These are a little more costly but not unreasonable. Hope this helps.

Do you have a good link for the probes?

Try Big Als Aquariums website. I think they sell 4 or 5 different models. You can also buy Eheim filters with built in probes and heaters. (costly.) Hope this helps.
