Hello everyone,

I’ve not been here for a while and it’s taken me an age to read all the posts I’ve missed – I can’t help it!!

I went away for a long weekend and before going I did a water change a few days before hand (so any instability would be noticed before going) and checked all the parameters, which were all fine.
When I checked my fish after coming home I saw that my yellow lab (3”) has lumps in his tail – just where it joins the rest of his body. They’re kind of browny – orange. I’m not sure what to do, as I’ve never seen this sort of thing before, or read about it. Could it be internal parasites??? Is it ‘contagious’ etc? :?

Also, my electric blue (2 ½”) has an ulcer on his side, this I’m not really worried about – I mean I am, but I’m treating it.

I’m just wondering if the two are related, and what the lumps on the yellow lab tail are.

Thanks in advance :D

Nicola.

Welcome back Nicola, glad to see you back!

My Rusty gets those ulcers. I am thinking about putting him into the hospital.

As for the bumps, I have no idea what they are.

I have bought a 3 day treatment for him, it’s the second day today so we’ll see what happens. The guy in the fish shop said the lump were a tumour - !!!
I’m just keeping my fingers crossed for the little guy – he was one of my first!

Just for info...

3rd day now and the film over the ulcer has now gone and all is left is like a little crater - normal?

I lump on the lab's tail grew into a while scab type thing and has now fallen off - looks much better.

I'm gonna carry on medicating for another day just to be sure, and I may even do an early water change and redose again - I'll see what they look like tonight.

Thanks anyway,

Nicola.

Esha 2000, I think... can't quite remember off hand.

Fantastic stuff though, treats most things and the sick fish are fine now. But I did lose my lombardio a few days ago :( Probably completely unrelated, unfortunately these things will happen - he was fine up until I found his remains!!
