Hey All- Just to let everyone know, this site was mentioned in the December issue of FAMA (Freshwater and Marine Aquarium) magazine. The site address was given along with a recommendation as a good place for info on all types of cichlids. Excellent 8)

Assault and battery (misdemeanor). Got a notice of a '96 warrant in the mail last Wendesday. Posted bond this morning and had the arraignment this afternoon. I go back with my attorney on 01/09/03. :(
In July of '96 my wife came home from work upset about a co-worker cussing her out. I asked why she didn't tell her boss and she said they were buddies and she wouldn't do anything to stop it. Apparently it wasn't that unusual, but she hadn't said anything to me before. So me being the rednecked SOB that I am, jumped on my white horse and went looking for the guy. I kicked his butt and now 6 years later I'm paying for it. I just used my fists, but he got a hell of a pounding with them and ended up in the ER. Some of the damage to his sinuses was causing vomiting and he said he was blacking out. Who knows?
This happened shortly after my wife lost a baby (tubal) and had just gotten pregnant again, it was a hundred degrees outside and I'd just finished working a 10 hour shift in a factory. It didn't take much to set me off, and seeing her in tears just made me snap. Now I'm paying for my lack of judgement. My lawyer said the worst case scenario would probably be probation. I'm 34 years old and I've never been in trouble before or after. I would have known about the warrant sooner, but I haven't had a speeding ticket in that time either. Apparently they just issue the warrants in OK and then wait for you to stumble into a policeman. They've had my name, address and phone number since the day it happened. I'm also listed in the phone book.
The local police have been sending out thousands of warrant letters in the mail the past weeks trying to close out old cases. I met several people with 20 year old warrants for things like DUI, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana. It was odd that out of all the charges I heard in the courtroom mine was the only violent crime and it was also the smallest bail.
Anybody shocked?
