Will kenyi's eat plants? I had a post a while ago about my sword plant not doing so well. I recnetly added a kenyi and now the plant is almost gone. Its a 30 gallon tank with 2 yellows one bumble bee, on kenyi and an algea eater. This sucks I have had the plant almost 12 years.

some mbuna will eat certain plants, but i'm afraid that i never paid attention to which of them do it. why don't you move whats left of your sword to another tank?--it will probably regenerate.

IME every African you mentioned will eat plants, except for java fern. I feed my extra cuttings to my African tank. Even the haps will eat the stuff. My Dim. compressiceps was swimming around with a stem in it's mouth last night, it looked like he was smoking.

they won't eat anubias species, either. they don't seem to like the taste of water sprite--i've got an explosion of it floating in the 90 gal. mbuna tank--they just ignore it. they adore salvinia.
