is it possible to breed pleco's in a tank???

It depends on the size of the species. The common pleco gets so large that you'd need a mega tank to keep it in. We're talking feet over inches. And they need to get this big to be breeders. That's why common plecos are pretty much pond bred. Marble Hi-Fins are the same way. However, Ancistrus plecos rarely get bigger than 4-5" at maturaity and can easily be bred in the home aquarium.
im starting to breed the common pleco now, i set up a tub out side today, its about 34" long and about 24" high, its a black tub and has a divider to seperate the male and female
