55 gallon...have some questions.

I just purchased my new 55 gallon tank and am ready to begin adding my fish. The only fish being transferred are my juv dempsey and my jv convict. My dempsey prefers the bottom of my tank while the convict prefers the middle to the bottom. What other types of new world cichlids are there that do not get extremely large but will cover the middle or upper portions of my tank?

you could try angels or blood parrots. i have both with a breeding pair of convicts and 2 jacks and they all l ive peacefully. the angels also stay towards the top of the tank

They aren't cichlids but what about the giant danios?
