What are my cichlids up to ???

I had 7 cichlids in a 75 gallon, things were working out just fine. I have recently moved away to school and was forced to leave my 75 er at home and bring my 10 gallon with me to school. So far so good, it has been a week or so and things are looking good...only a couple of them keep digging holes in the rocks and moving the plants to make nests or something?? Anyone know what they are trying to do ??

If you have all seven in the 10 I would suggest they are going stir crazy and trying to get back to the 75 :lol:

they probably are trying to build spawning pits, in which case you are about to have full-scale warfare in that tank. :shock:

I know I have an electric yellow, other then that I have no idea. So what do those dots on their lower rear fin mean?? How do I know who is male or female?? When is anyone going to make babies?? The answer to any of these questions would be great.

Also I am new to the cichlid forum...so far I think its absolutley great!! :P
