Hello again,

I have yet another question that i have been wondering for quite some time my black oscar has a deformity from birth where his top fin is kind of folded against the side of his body. i thought nothing of it when it was a little tiny baby but as it start to grow i was worried and called the pet store they said i could return it and get a new one. but i knew what they were going to do. they were gunna kill it. i couldnt have this becuase i already loved my little guy. so i kept him im just wondering if this is serious and he might die becuase of it someday? i have post a picture so u can see what it looks like.thanks for your help.I love this forum

No he/she wont die from it. Seems like that fish had a massive injury at one point in time. How big is the oscar now?

well the fish was like that when we got him when he was like 1 inch big

he is now about a year and half old and about 8-9 inches long

You might want to consider shrinking your file sizes, I've got a cable modem and it took forever to download this page.

That is pretty weird with the fin, but it won't harm the fish.

The files are smaller now, but they still take some time to load. Not sure why though. For those that can't see them, the dorsal fin looks like it grows down onto the left side of the fish towards the back.
