Can someone either confirm that this is a convict or that it is something else? When I purchased it, it was listed as a convict, but it was the only one that looked like it. It doesn't really resemble a convict, ie no stripes, and I've never seen a purple convict. It also doesn't have the temperament of a convict either, it is kind of lethargic and not very aggressive. When it gets stressed out it kind of lightens up and you can see a few yellow blothces on the top of its head and body(you can kind of see them in the pic, sorry the pics not the best, but my water is a little cloudy right now). I think that these might be the spots between the supposed stripes. Also, it has a single black line running the length of the body, with a black spot 3/4 of the way down that is well more noticeable on one side and also when he lightens up. When you look really close its scales have a greenish blue tint like a dempsey and has the same shape as one, but not the other noticeable characteristics. Is it a hybrid of a dempsey and convict, just one of them, or something completely different. Thanks. here's the link: http://beezer7201.tripod.com/
