I've got one (dovii)...... and no..... I haven't considered hand feeding since he was about 6". Cruel what those teeth can do. Once, a convict accidentally jumped from an adjacent tank into the wolf's tank...... real blood..... not cool!

Angler fish are very ugly, but an Angler Fish & the others pictured above are not really fish.......There Dinosaurs!!!!! They actually say that an Angler Fish has not evolved mush as it lives so far down in the depths of the sea. I say that he should get out more into the sun & improve it's looks!

I would say that Angler fish are actually highly specialised fish (implying a moderately high degree of "evolution")...To have a symbiotic light giving bacteria living in your body, and to have developed the specialised "lantern" fin, and all the "fishing" behavors that go with it, is pretty nicely evolved animal...wanna see a "dinosour"? Go look at a shark or a Celacanth (sp?)
Want a quick interesting look at the Angler? go to..http://www.geocities.com/thesciencefiles/angler/fish.html
