View Full Version : I just got a tiger pleco!

No actual pictures yet, here's a stock one from the web... I wasn't even looking for him, but I saw him at the LFS and had to have him. So, I took my common pleco in (who I'll miss cuz I had him about year :( ) and traded him for this guy.

Cool, good for you! I love unusual Pl*cos! Do you have that species full name, or "L" number? The head size makes me think its in the Leporacanthicus genus...Am I correct? (and I know I did not spell the name correctly...)

thats sick! we only get the plan old looking pleco's here, well done dude, hope you can post some pics soon!

yea those are really nice. i have a leopard pleco or some really spotted one. even its eyes are spotted.

And.... I just took him back. He's cool lookin and all, but he's extremely booooooring. :) I returned him and got a common pleco again... but this time one that has a lot of red, cool looking.

They also had a kick-arse looking "Cactus Pleco", but as he was $160, I decided he wasn't that good looking...

AHHHH.....my guy is pretty active, and for a wild caught fish he is pretty friendly! sorry yours didn't work out...

I know what you mean, I have one of those tiger plecos and I see it only when I happen to walk out by my tank at 3am and it is still just sitting there. Really boring, really pretty (if you can see them) fish though. And from what I understand they don't get tha big either.
