how do you get it to look so dark? every time I take pictures of my tank the flash illuminates the entire back wall and meeses the shot up. if I turn the flash off it looks a little better but nothing like this one and other ones I see here.
I have a black towel nailed to the wall behind the tank as my "temporary" backdrop. any sugestions?

yeah what i did is took the compact flourencent off of my 35 hexagon and put it on tp of the 90, then i turned off alll the lights in the house and only one of the fourlscents and took the pic with a tripod and no flash.

Black backround looks good. I run a black back in both my 65 g. an 20 g. It gives the tank a sort of mellow chill kinda atmosphere. Your tank looks nice keep it up.

Since we're on the subject, what do you guys use for your backgrounds?? Paint?? Those goofy wallpaper thingies they sell in the shops? I do like the hefty bag idea though - nice!
