Just thought i'd say thanx, i posted a while back with a mystery fish, that was sold to me as a Synspilum, it turns out its a Bifasiatum, i'm not disappointed anymore, cos' is just as nice (just starting to colour up), and it ony cost me £2.00, not bad huh!!!
I bet the guy in the shop is thinking DOH!! (8(l)><>
Fantastic, that is a beautiful fish and I beleive they are generally more peaceful than the synspilum. I like the look of the bifasciatus better, too. Congratulations on a most excellent acquisition. What tank mates does your fish have? Why size tank do you have it in?

he's in a 4 foot tank at the moment (not sure what that is in gallons) with a couple of juvenile blackbelts, and some hoplo cats, but s/he (i kinda think its a she) has started to REALLY want her own feeding space, any other time they get along fine but come feeding time she grows horns.

i got them from Rainbow Aquatics in Mexborough, South Yorkshire. The man is a god when it comes to SA/CA'S Africans as well, i'm lucky i have 3 very good fish stores within a 10 mile radius, i kinda fills my sunday afternoons!!
BTW he's got some GREAT wild cought juvenile Pearsi's, not a cichlid you see everyday (not around here anyway)
a bit far away from you but worth a look if you find yourself this far south

If it's a rare and worthy fish then i'm prepared to travel. I'll maybe stop off on my way down to Peterbourgh cause i'm going to go down and get a few Hartwegi from a shop down there.
:D CHEERS FOR THE INFO :D
