I'm planning a road trip to Atlantis Tropical Fish Hatchery through NYCichlids.net http://www.cichlids.net/index.php . I would like to invite our friends at Cichlid Forums to join us on the road trip up to Atlantis in Gardner NY right off exit 17 of NYS Thruway. Below is a link to the event I'm planning. Please let me know who wants to go and who would be able to offer some room in their car, truck or van for members that don't drive on this thread posted here in Cichlid Forums . This will be a great time for you to make some new fish friends and get some great fish.

Ecc is having their trip in Jan. I was still thinking of running a trip after Ecc goes to Atlantis. I also want to run a trip on the next Malawi order so we can get first pick on that shipment. That one should not be untill feb or march

Wre you thinking of going with us ?????? It would be nice to have you along

Only date good for me in January is Jan. 14. Do you know when is the next Tang shipment to Atlantis?

it looks like the begining of jan but not 100 % sure as soon as I get a confirmed date I'll let you know . Do you think you can get a few people to come. I'm not goimg to do it if I only get 1 person

Is this not in conjunction with NYCichlids? Will anyone from that group go?

Another question if I may - Can a Tang pre-order list be made available much the way the Malawi list was published?

I'm doing a Malawi trip. the pre order is up on Atlantis's web site. If you want me to do a tang trip no problem but get up some people. I posted it up in both forums If I get no people there wount be a trip. I got some people interested for this trip for the Malawi shipment

they havent had any good tang shipments in a few years. Last time I went there was a chick who vented my alto's incorrectly.

Their Malawians are ok though. Somewhat common though. Is NYcichlids a club?

NYCichlids.net is a forum. Used to be NYCichlids.com but the site was messed up by the previous owners.

I saw the Atlantis list recently. Very light on wild tangs. Lots of TR stuff.

Hard to believe somebody could make a living off a fish forum. People have a lot of Bills to pay off and I don't know if auctions could do that.

their wild tang shipments for the past two years have been eels, crabs, gobies. Not much else.

better off doing Reserve Stock for the tank raised tang stuff.

Auctions are a very good way to make money. They seperate sellers from half of their profits yet most sellers dont even care. They think half of their hard earned money goes to a good cause. The fish clubs benefit and so do the owners of forums. They both make thousands of dollars. Think about it

My LFS is looking to do an order in the Spring with Old World Exotics. I'll try to get in with that order.

You would think the fish forums would give back everything to the hobbyist once Bills are paid.
