Hi guys putting up some pics as I need some help, these fish were labled Hap Ovatus... But I am possitive they are not (I knew they weren't when I was buying) I am pretty sure that they are either a Copadichromis species (my best guess would be sp. "yellow jumbo") or a Placidochromis species (hoping for "blue otter") But I shall leave it to experts on this board.
The reason behing my thought for blue otter is the blue and green hue that is starting to develope on the males.

Thanks for the help!

Cheers
Jay

the size of the pics is distorting the page, making it hard to read your posts and making the page take too long to load.

I just wish I'd sprung for the 48" monitor and the cable modem.

Sorry guys, I didn't do anything to adjust the size... just croped them and posted the parts of the pics that mattered. Any advice on posting pics would be appreciated!!!

hi fitch--i don't mean to be a pain, but it's still taking forever to load and the margins are too wide, so it's hard to read the posts. what about posting the pics at www.cichlidgallery.com with a link or something?

I'm gonna say its a Jacobfrieberg variant or a Copidachromis of some kind

for those of you who, like me, have a problem with huge files distorting the page, you can go to 'edit options' and choose to have hyperlinks appear in the threads instead of the images.
