Does anyone keep one? If so what does it consist of?

I used to when I first started breeding - more or less to try to keep track of dates of spawns and fry age... but it soon became too meticulous for me and stopped, lol.

Dates of spawns, date of strip/spit, number of fry and in some cases what female (if you can ID the different mothers).

Thanks man. Thought i would atleast learn to keep one and do it for a little while. Especially if my local club starts a breeders club in the future.

I keep the following information for my own records.
Date purchased/ acquired, $ paid, Species scientific name, Location (if known), Qty purchased, Date spawned, Date sold/disposed of (sometimes they don't always make it), $ amount sold for, Qty sold
I keep it on an Excel spreadsheet separated by groups of fish (new world, old world, catfish, cyprinids, etc...)
That way I can tell whether I was successful spawning a fish, and whether I was able to sell the offspring for more or less than what I paid for the parents.
For my club's BAP program we just require the name, date of birth/hatch, date submitted (must be at least 45 days post hatch to qualify), and qty (must be at least 5).
