Hello, iam brand new to aqariums and i have a 72 gallon tanl with 6 Cichlids, 2 african, 2 red terr, and 2 green terr. I beleive my green terr have hade babies. she is very territorial in a particular area and i can see movement in this area, kinda of like small insect nest.
Are these babies? If so what care can be taken to nurse them to adult hood.
Should i get a seperate tank?
Is there an online site with FAQ's for baby fish. ;-)
ANy help is greatly appreciated.

well my experiance if you can move the rest of the fish thats best.
what kind of filtration do you have----use foam over any filter fry wont be sucked through, feed them hatched brine shrimp best, smashed flake food, and sinking pellets as they get a little bigger when it gets mushy they can eat them, be careful the female will get stressed out if she has to defend to many fish off her babies. moving the babies is kinda difficult use about 75% origonal water rest new declorinated---- let sit a bit before adding new water, same goes for the babies, hope some of this helps you.
You can put a divider in the tank to keep the other fish away from the nest so the parents dont get too stressed out. Then the parents will focus on raising the fry.
