DIY tank

wanna build a tank just because. ive got a 10 and a 55 gal but just like doing things myself. im thinking 80 gal. i still cant get over the idea that silly holds the whole thig together. any suggs appretiated. glass vrs acrilic/ dimensions/ glass thickness/ tempered????

Has anyone here built their own, yet?...is it worth the work & time vs. saving the $? (is it actually any cheaper than buying a tank?)
