This is the meanest fish I've ever had. He chases everything in my tank I got tired of him picking on everyone so I bought a Pseudotropheus zebra (Red zebra) about the same size to teach him a lesson but he was happy he had someone else to pick on.
A few weeks later I went to a LFS and saw a Melanochromis auratus aggressively attacking a fish 3 times his size so I had to have him. I put him in the tank hoping to see tough guy put in his place for sure but the Auratus still runs for his life. I want to get a Tilapia Buttikoferi but the only one I have seen around was a 10" adult that the guy @ the LFS told me would kill everything in my tank and quick so I want to find one smaller say 2-3" anyone know where I could get one mail order

Rockkribensis are Victorian cichlids. I'm not sure of the genus species, but you might find it in the Lake Victoria forum.

Maybe if you could find some females for him to harasss he wouldn't take it out on the others. Maybe you could put him in time out for a few days. Re-arrange the tank while he's sequestered, and let the other fish get their pecking order in shape. Then, put him back in. It might calm him down some.

Thanks a lot guys. Jonah it looks exactly like the last fish in your link thanks again. I am about to get a larger tank so that might help. When I get my smaller tank from my friend I'll try the time out thanks for your help.
