No that is to small for any mbuna in my opinion. How about a couple of firemouths, convicts. If you want africans how about some kribs, jewels, or tanginikan shell dwellers.

Several species of apistogrammas will fit fine in a 20. Some of them, like A. macmasteri and A. cactuoides, are spectacular. I don't feed fry to mine (they're happy in a 10 gal), but I expect they'll gobble fry just fine, particularly if you don't feed them anything else!
