Hey wmaod,
Handsome little devil, isn't he? I'm going to take a stab and say Aulo. Jacobfreibergi "Lemon Jake"?

I'm gonna say that it is a juvie "RED EUREKA" which is a derivative (not a hybrid) of the Jacobfreibergis. his colors should be stronger at this point tho, they usually have better color when there is a few females and other males to color up against.

thanks, I went today and bought a couple OB peacocks I think a male and female, Still juvs.,,,,,Ive always heard hybrids are undesireable in the fish trade (like OB's) so what are your thoughts hybrid? I think they look neat

All my friends and books point to Aulo. Jacobfreibergi, as gusgus stated earlier

I concur, definitely a jac. "eureka". I also have an OB, and he is an awsome fish!

I think he looks a lot like a eureka red...or at least a 'red' of some strain...

Sorry for the dumb question but what is an OB? I am assuming it has something to do with hybrids.
thanks,
Mike

OB=orange blotch. all OB fish are not hybrids, but OB peacocks are.
