Excellent! You got to watch them spawn! Drop a line back if you need any assistance with the brooding/raising process.....Scott 8)

Sue,
Once you've gotton to the point where you have a spawn, Vics are blissfully easy. Assuming at this point that you don't want to get involved with stripping the babies from her, set up a small brooding tank wih a sponge filter. She'll be ready to spit in about 15-17 days. Wait at least a week before moving her. Sometimes a female that just spawned will spit out her eggs when you net her. The babies will be released at a large and highly developed enough state that you can feed them just about anything. I usually start with live BBS for a week, then start switching over to decapsulated BSE's and ground up flakes. Lots of people just skip the BBS and start with flakes, and that's fine too. If you've bred fish before, the rest is the same old yada yada  lots of good food, bottom siphoning and water changes. You know the drill

 , i moved her to a holding tank after they finished spawning as he is very aggressive, she is still holding today.
He keeps all the other females in a corner, so i didnt want her stressed by him.
fingers crossed eh.
