i want to keep several type of peacocks in a 55gal .. i want to keep different types of male peacocks with some females .. i know that cross breeding will occur because of the different types of peacocks but i dont want to breed so all fry will end up as feeder food(is that a bad thing to do?). my main purpose for adding females is so that the males will color up nice, because ive read that male show thier best color when females are around .. i want to add the different males and add the same type of females(so i know what the species of females i have), and of course it will be atleast 2 females for every male .. how much fish can i put in my tank with that kind of ratio? i want tp start with juviniles that are starting to color up, and when they are almost full grown ill be adding them to a 100 gal .. do you think this set up will work? i havent started it yet .. i just have a juvinile male bi-color in my tank right now .. want do you guys think? any suggestions?

welcome crunked!! i think that your set-up will work, but you mentioned that you will want to know what species of females you have. it is very possible that later you won't be able to tell which is which. aside from that, you should have no problem.

Hi Crunked,
I would recomend leaving the females out. They will only creat unneeded aggresion. If you have enough eqal sized males they will show good color.
In a 55 i would suggest 6 or so adults and you can easily double that in a 100.
