I just posted some of my pictures to the cichlidgallery.com Somehow I created two albums which wasn't my intent but as long as no one minds I'm not going to redo it.

See: "Kevin's Victorians" and "Kevin's mbuna"

"Ditto" Nice pictures! I have 3 questions:
1. Do you have any problems with your P. saulosi with some of your larger mbuna?
2. How long is your Lab. sp. Hongi?
3. What kind/model camera are you using?
Thanks, Sam

1.) Yes, a whole lot of trouble. I tried saulosi in the past with other larger mbuna and they were just not able to stand up to the aggression. Other people have made it work but I could not. My saulosi are pretty peaceful (except for male saulosi vs male saulosi) so this time around I gave them the whole 55 gallon tank to themselves and it worked beautifully for three years. (The larger mbuna are in a 75 gallon tank.) They've bred many times but recently the one and only male died. I sold the remaining females and juveniles at a club auction this past weekend, so I no longer keep this beautiful cichlid.

2.) The Lab hongi is huge...about 4 years old and 5 inches total length. Bigger than they get in the wild.

3.) It is a two year old Sony Mavica (FD?)-95 2.1 megapixel. To be honest I would never buy this particular camera if I had it to do over again. I'd go for one of the Nikon coolpix #???? (whatever I could afford.)

(Keep in mind that the fish in the pictures are in four different tanks.)

Thanks for the info! Sorry about your saulosi, sure like the looks of your Lab. hongi! I'm planning on getting a digital camera, so I'll check that one out.

kevin, are you gonna post your krib spawning pics, or a link to your website?
