Just wondering if anyone knew anything about Boulengerochromis microlepis, It grows up to 36 inches long and is considered one of the most primitive cichlids in lake Tanganyika.
I am considering construction of a 500gal concrete tank and wanted to know if any of you had heard of these beautiful fish or knew of a supplyer for them.

Gypsy, have you ever run across any of this species at auctions, or lfs's?

not that i remember, but there are a couple of guys on aquabid who specialize in hard to find fish. you might check the auctions on aquabid periodically.
You could also contact Armke's. I beleive they regularly special order hard to find fish for people.

Back in September a breeder spoke at our local aquarium society meeting and apparently he had kept 3 Emperors in a 240G tank. He said they were extremely intelligent and interesting.
Go to www.africanaquatics.com, they have some F0's in stock.
