I bought one of these yesterday. LFS says it's a "Red-Striped Brichardi", but I can't find any 100% accurate photos / matches on the internet (google). Because I can't positively match this fish, I'm also at a loss trying to learn more about it.

Closest I've found is the Neolamprologus brichardi (http://www.gcca.net/fom/Neolamprologus_brichardi.htm), but mine has thin red horizontal stripes and elongated tails.

I think that I have figured it out. If I am understanding your discription correctly you have a Neolamp. pulcher "isanga" red spots. Looks just like brichardi but with horz. red spots running along the body. To see the picture of them go to neptuneaquatics.com and click the fish icon. scroll down to the name and click on it. Has a rather nice photo there.

Thanks! :)

Could it be a "kiku"? I have 2 Kiku and they also have red dots with yellow tips on their fins.....and blue face markings. Just a thought.... to make sure you have the right brichardi identification.
