New convict breeder!!!

Hey guys ive been raising convicts for about 4 months and I recently just bought a female and they been together for 2 months. I had notice that the female was guarding the breeding cup for about 3 days and I took a look and there were some eggs. But the weird part is that the female is starting to attack the male, but he helps her guard the cup to, is that normal? and ive been decorating the tank to will they prevent them from taking care of the eggs(ive decorated the tank before I found out that they had eggs)

Hey guys today I checked and I saw little babies swimming inside the breeding cup but I was wondering if it was ok to leave on the filter on while the babies swim, will they get suck up or not?

NO i have fry all the time and nerver turn off my filter they will be ok

Hey guys its been almost a week now that my baby convicts hatched but they are not swimming yet. They only swim up and down but cant swim straight or around the tank, but I was wondering how much longer will it take the babies to start swimming?
