Here is a pic of Rommel, he is a Butterkoferi and about 7" and he is a little over a year old. He doesn't like fellow africans so he lives in my American tank and loves it, you can probably tell by his coloration.

I have two of them they are both no more than an inch long, I have them in a 55g

He is in a 150g American tank. The sibling to this fish died of worm disease at 9months old and measured at 8.5" but that was like 4months ago and the man I got them from said the big one was probably the female cause they are larger than the males but I have no idea.

how fast do they grow, mine dont seem to budge.......

They actually grow quite fast, I would at almost the same rate of a Dovii. What size tank is yours in and how often do you do water changes.
