Anyone know a good website for pictures of Xenotilapia? I bought a fish on Saturday, the lfs lady said she was pretty sure it came in as Xenotilapia and that it was a female. She said the male died, so she apparently knew the difference at the time the fish came in. It's got sort of a yellowish grey tint, with visible vertical bars and large eyes. It kind of reminds me of a female Neo. brichardi in body shape.

did you try a 'google' image search?

That's a good idea. I did a Google search, but not an image search. The regular search pulled up a bunch of foreign language sites. I actually have been using a Russian site trying to ID my fish, but I'm not sure about it yet. Whatever it is, it might end up in the big tank. It's got way too much attitude for such a small fish.

Thanks Rudy, I practically live in the Cichlid Room already. Mine kind of looks like flavipinnis, but it's got more yellow and you can see faded bars on it like a light male lombardoi.
