I would like to learn about the different pigmentation disorders that have been or could be seen in fish. About the only disorder I know about is albinoism but my knowledge of that isn't that great - would be nice to learn about that and more.

Geographical differences, atmospheric pressure, food and constant inbreeding can change the way a fish acts, it's colors, it's size and shape. I think the Midas cichlid would be a good example of this. Many different natural variants with that fish. Many Lake malawi fish have different naturally occurring variants, if only ever so slight. This is something you may already know. Getting into the scientific reasoning and cell structuring of the making of these variants or pigmentation issues is something that can fill a book on. Here is a sight where you can perhaps further read and even get the book or books if you so choose. Someone else may pass by with something better. It is a fascinating subject if you are into the science of it all.
