I dont Know about San Diego but the population is large enough to find them easily but if you take the short trip up north to Los Angeles, pasadena and surrounding areas The fish stores a are large enough, specialty stocked and knowlegably ran that you may be able to get some interesting fish intened for breeding there when you are on the net go to the MSN yellowpages

Enter tropical Fish and than a city name and go from there it will show both websites if the company has one and their contact information the stores ore good to weed out the bad ones but even if you dont the LFS are good places to meet others who are breeders, espesialy if the store only stocks f-1s and f-2s intended for breeding

I live about 2 hours from san diego maybe less, i just got two convicts male and female, and im not sure what im gonna do with all the fry once they start haveing babies. So if your interested in convicts let me know.
