welcome back, reesa pie! cool christmas gift! your tank looks great. that mystery fish might still turn out to be a 'he'...some of those malawi hap males will surprise you a year later! might be a copadichromis species.

I hopeing she'll be a he, but i've had her since last april... she's almost 3" and hasn't shown any other colors yet.
Very nice photos ReesaPie. It sure didn't take you long to figure out how to use that camera!

*laughs* I really love takeing photos. I've had a Minolta SRL for years, but I would LOVE a digital SRL. The one I just got is a point-and-shoot, but it has a decent zoom and a close up (but not macro) setting. I just like, that I can take a dozen pictures of the same fish, and it doesn't cost me a thing (besides battery power). More then likely i'll get at least one that turned out well.

That third Fish is an "Electric Blue II" I have a couple of them, before I had 3 but all of them died, now I got 2 and they seem to be pretty healthy, I forget their other name, it's something like "Red Spot", or something like that, even though the spots are not red, and if you put them in with Regular "Electric Blues" they would not kill them, "Electric Blues" Are Aggressive, "Electric Blue IIs" are very Shy and Totally Community safe, The reason I think My others died is because My Black Ghost Knife Probably Killed them, Because if there are let's say 3 Black Ghost Knives in 1 tank, they will kill each other, (That happened to me)

I belive the electric blue two is a Copadichromis azureus. The unknown above looks like a female Otopharnyx lithobates. The pics of female Copadichromis with spots don't seem to have a spot on the gill plate. Anyway, thats an idea. Nice looking pics and fish!
3rd looks like some Fryeri/Azureus hybrids like I saw at petsmart, while waiting for some crickets. The head isn't right for a Copadichromis.
