I'm about 30 minutes east of Houston, and I'm under a flashflood warning as we speak. Lots and lots of rain. I really do love Texas weather! :D

oh yeah....TEXAS weather ROCKS   :? well sometimes!!

It is a beautiful drab gray outside here and on and off showers all day..I think we are under flood warning too!!!! Kind of day you want to spend in bed or eating a bowl of hot beef stew or chilli!

But would you ever live anywhere else than TEXAS?!?!?

Glad to hear from someone close...usually on all the forums I have been on, everyone is from either California or in the UK somewhere...

oooh....just realized you are in Baytown...

this is going to sound dumb but I read in the baytown classifieds that one of the big fish stores out there is closing and they were having like 50 - 75 percent off...

unfortunetly I cannot remember the name..which really doesn't help...but just in the rare crazy chance you know what I am talking about...just wondering if it is still open and if the sales are really that great!

I was born in Houston, Texas and my dad was born Texas City (he says you can't get more Texan than that). Does that count?

My wife makes fun of me when I tell her I'm from Texas (I've lived all of my life except for 3 months in New Jersey). But I was born there and I'm stickin' to it.

There used to be a Petland in the mall, but it closed down years ago. I don't know of any other stores in Baytown that would be considered big, and none of the ones that are here are closing. Where did you read that? Maybe they meant in Beaumont? Let me know as I might be interested also. 8)

Texans are Texans ...no matter what city your from!!!! I must admit though I am not a Native Texan...actually was born in Central America but as they say....I got to Texas as fast as I could...

my siblings all were born in Houston though...lucky dogs...hee hee

My husband is actually from the Andrews/Odessa area (that is west texas for those who do not know...) and when ever he is tired or had a few "cold ones", his Texan drawl really comes out. My sister in law actually lives right outside Dallas...I always forget what the city is called..something like Wanuga or something...

My step dad was born and raised in Houston Texas in one of the "wards"...I think it is the one where it is mostly spanish people (there are like 5 "wards" and I cannot ever remember which one is which)..funny thing is that he grew up around spanish people all his life, then married my mom (who is also spanish) and it has been like 20+ years that they have been married yet he does not really speak spanish..but man does he have a TEXAN drawl!!

I will have to check the ads again to see where that pet store was...though I do remember trying to call the phone number but it was already disconnected...probably means we are too late....

I am so glad that all the "TEXANS" are here!

and yes...if you are in anyway connected to Texas...I' ll consider ya TEXAN!!
