Maybe Red Terror?

Does anybody know what kind of cichlid this one is? I picked the fish up from an adoption tank. I think that it may be a Red Terror, but I am not sure. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a trimac to me, but I'm more of an African cichlid guy than American cichlid. I've owned one before and it looked similar, especially the eyes.

I know this may sound funny but I am kind of new to cichlids. Is a trimac a red terror?

trimac or flowerhorn. im not to good at telling them apart.

Thanks for the information. After looking at several pictures of Flower Horns and Amphilophus trimaculatus I came to the conclusion that it is a Amphilophus trimaculatus. I found a picture that looks identical to it. Thanks

Pretty difficult to tell for sure if it is low grade flowerhorn, or trimac. Anyway cool looking fish regardless.

100% Trimaculatus, and a beautiful one I am curious to know if there are other fish in the tank with him cause I bet he's one nasty hombre.

No, he is the only fish in the tank. Yes he is very aggressive and always digging. Thanks for help identifying him.

Rudy is absolutely right. There is no way to tell for sure what it is.
