Haplochromis sp. #44 "thickskin"?

This was at another lfs i stopped at today. #44 is my best guess. What do you guys think?

Do females get eggspots?

looks like a sp.44 from what I can tell.... I get my fish from a breeder who has #44's, the females (and juveniles) have dull colouration like that compared to the males that are just wild..... how big was the fish?

they are cool looking fish, I wish I had one :cool:

The #44 is a little over 3 inches. it has been housed with some pretty big typically aggressive Mbuna's plus the owner told me he just got them in last night from someone moving and couldnt take there tank. so he might be drab in color from stress or fear!
