im planning on starting a 125 gallon tank including

1-albino oscar
1 pair of pike cichlids
a small group of eartheaters

would these fish get along or am i looking for trouble just trying to set this up:confused:. im trying to keep only south americans but if there are any central americans that might suit this tank let me know.

Dont know to much about south american cichlids but all i know is that Oscars take up alot of room.

The pikes would pobably dominate that tank. Earth eaters are fairly docile which is not the case with the pikes and oscars. I recommend you change your plan with the earth eaters.

i think ill have keyholes and eartheaters and maybe another species. would cons or firemouths be okay with these fish or are they too aggressive?

Truly it depends on how many cons you have and if they are breeding or not. If you have one pair of cons then there shouldn't be much of a problem as long as you give the cons a territory away from everyone else. But if you have say two or three female cons, then you shouldn't have a problem at all.

i have seen a grown pair of breeding cons kill a 10 inch oscar. just go wih one sex or make the size difference bigger.

Port Cichlids are on the less agressive side. They would work.
