Is there a such thing? I have been looking for a digital heater, all I can find is a digital themometer.
Has anyone heard of an "EBO JAGER"? What is that all about?

........... Just a confused cichlid lover...............

Every heater I have in my main tanks is an EBO JAEGER. They are one of the best on the market. They are accurate within plus or minus 1/2 a degree in my tanks. They have a setting dial at the top that is much more precise than any other manufacturers.

I agree........ Jaegers are the best by far.

All my EBOs are fully submerged - well below the blue temperature setting dial. They are water tight and can be laid flat along the bottom of the tank if you don't want them visible. Never had a problem. Any lfs worth its salt around here uses them just as I mentioned.

Tronic heaters use a digital system rather than the original bi-metallic strip system for temp control. I haven't had any problems with these, but others may have.
My only experience with an EBO resulted in the heater filling up with water.

I use Ebo Jaegers exclusively in my smaller tanks. I've never had one fail.

Very big tanks (needing 100 watts, etc.) should have an inline heater (fire plug type) or a titanium type with a digital monitor.
