Hello all! I am new to African Cichlids and have been a lurker here for a few months. I have just recently moved into a larger home and decided to put my old empty (15+yrs) aquarium (29 gal) together. The next thing ya know I am looking at cichlids and buying a 55 gal tank. :lmao: I am hoping I am not getting over my head here. :drink: {Thanks for all the info on this site!!!!}. I am in the middle of fishless cycling; seeded from an old established tank of my sister's (just goldfish but I thought it should work). Right now I am looking at PH-8.2, NH3-at 2-3, NO2 at 5-7, and NO3 around 20-30. My questions are: do you think I will be "cycled" by the OCA EXTRA?, can I get the fish I would like there?, I would like to stock some Yellow Labs, Maingano, Red Zebras, and maybe another like an Afra or Rusty. Would 4 species be possible ? I would like to buy little ones (around 1 1/2"), how many of each should I get? Sorry for the length and all the questions but any help would be appreciated. Here is what my tank looks like, any comments would be helpful.
