Hey Folks

I have just started breeding some of my Malawi Cichlids. ( well they started by accident so i decided to keep the babies).

How long do i need to wait before i milk the female of her fry, i am weary to do it too early, cause you cant put the bun back in the oven so to speak if it is quite cooked yet


I also have the same situation with one of my Maingano females?

Any Suggestions

HEy another question should i taker her out as soon as i notice her or should i leaver her in there

i generally take mine out on the 21 st day of holding then at least when you realse them they have lost there sack and can easily survive i aslo leave the holding female in the tank with others unless there is a sure reason to remove her but unless your extremly careful she can quite easily lose her eyes, as a rule i try to leave mine in the tank, my answer is based on labs!
