Hey, I just realized the OCA show is less than a month away. Money is tight for me this year, but I was looking at the lineup of speakers - WOW! Eric Bodrock, Vin Cutty, JUAN MIGUEL ARTIGAS AZAS, Ingo Seidel (this one is for the catfish people!), and Ad Konings.

Anyone else from here planning to attend? This is probably the biggest Cichlid gathering outside of ACA convention in the US; if you can get there, I highly recommend it.

Nov. 21-23, Strongsville Holiday Inn. Check out the OCA website, too. Hey, I'm not an OCA member, but they are good friends, and I always have a blast at these things!

I always drive there Saturday morning and leave in the evening. I've only missed a few. I'll be there once again.

This being my first convention/large gathering, does everyone wear name tags with their forum names? Or does everyone just kinda get to know everyone and it comes up - "Oh yeah, your _____. Nice to put a face to a name."

You can find people if you know their real name. And/or we can trade cell phone numbers by private message.

If you guys want to stop by for a Canadian Beer,,,,I know Ad and a few others
will be there checking out/exchanging pics from this years Lake Malawi Trips!

Well, I got my room reservation and made out my registration form to mail in the AM. Guess I'm going!

Oh, and I have a new camera. This ought to be fun!

I will certainly be taking the laptop, so maybe we can set up some sort of group get together for photos. Just not Saturday night, Mike Schadle usually has a couple of new beers I have to test out for him!

Hmmm Mike Schadle is bringing 'new' beers,,,I'll bring the Canadian ones!
Haven't talked with Mike since NEC in April.
All I have to do is figure out who is who on this forum,,,I'm not new to forums but I'm new here!
I found this one thru an old defunct one that I still drop by once in a while,Glaive had left me a note there.
