hey everyone, im new here and i thought i would share some pix of my fish. as you can tell probably, i have two albino oscars and one tiger oscar. so far the albinos are only about 3 inches big and the tiger is about 2 inches big. at this size, would feeding them blood worms or feeder guppies be ok? ive been feeding them hikari pellets for now, i want to change up their diet a bit. just want to make sure that their size would be good to handle different foods.

Welcome! Glad to have you! I would stay away from feeders solely because they very possibly could make your oscars sick. But you could try crickets, flies, bloodworms, small earthworms, brine shrimp or small krill - they also like peas, spinach & most leafy veggies, and mine go crazy over cucumbers. The more diverse the diet, the more they eat the bigger and happier they seem to get... :D I feed mine just about any bug that I find, unless I don't know what it is! All of my Americans will practically jump into my hands for an earthworm.. :ok:

would buying feeder guppies and drying them be good for them to eat?

I don't think drying them would be a good, idea. I have heard of freezeing them as it kills just about any possible infection.
I feed mine rosie reds or goldfish. as a treat, I know I'm probable asking for infection but they seem to like them.
Welcome! And those are some awsome o's you have there. within a matter of time they will be huge. keep us posted with pics!

feed them Tetra Reptomin ,my oscars love them, also crickets and such, worms should not be used unless you put the worms in a container with shredded paper so they dont eat and discharge the dirt in their body.2 days.
