Hello all,

I have been getting advise here for about 2 months now and I would like to start off by saying thanks to everyone!

Now on to my question...I had set up a 29 gallon tank in June, and last week upgraded to a 55. I put new substrate(cichlid live sand, pretreated, and very expensive:mad:) Took about 25 gallons from that tank, and all of the rock work and both filters, an aquaclear 50, and 70. Both filters were cycled in the tank as I knew I would get a bigger tank eventually.

I treated the new water with cichlid chemistry, and prime and my fish have been in for about a week now.

The question I have is can I add new fish in now, or is it too soon?

I understand that I may go through a mini-cycle but I think I should be in the clear!

How long has the tank been running?

You should be ok if you used your filters from the previous tank, as long as the media was kept wet.

The tank was running since before June, and the filter media was kept wet, I made sure of it. I figured I was ok, but I wanted to ask the experts first!

Just add slowly and give your filter time to grow into its new bioload prior to increasing it again.
