Hello, I have to wait for my password from the gallery. Here's my tank. My webcam sucks, but maybe Santa will bring me a digicam.

Welcome, Cichlid Fan

I'm supposing you're referring to cichlidgallery.com. If so, your password's been sent via private message. If not, ignore that PM. :D

Welcome! Nice looking tank. I always wanted a tank with a canopy. Oh, and nice rock work. What are you keeping in there?

Current occupants are:

1-Yellow Lab(3.5") Labidochromis caeruleus
1-Yellow Lab(1") Labidochromis caeruleus
1-Auratus(3.5") Melanochromis auratus
1-Venutus(2") Nimbochromis venustus
1-Ahli(3.5") Sciaenochromis freyeri
1-Red Zebra(I think)(2.5") Pseudotropheus estherae?
4-Buttikoferi(1") Tilapia buttikoferi

2-Texas Cichlids(2") Herichthys cyanoguttatum (Texas)
1-Black Acara(2") Aequidens portalegrensis(S. America)
1-Demon Fish(4")Santanoperca Jurupari(Earth eater-Brazil)

Filtration:
2-Emperor 400's
1-Magnum 350w/micron cartridge

Thank you for the compliments on the rock. There are many nooks and crannies for the smaller fish.

Obviously this tank is not true to any one type of fish. Amazingly all the fish get along very well. I believe this is due to the population and the fact that the few very aggresive fish in there are small.

The smaller tank holds a 6" Giant Bumblebee Cat Pseudopimelodus bufonis
He was removed because he decided to eat my Managuense, Kenyi and one Black Acara.

It is 75g and no, the Buttikofferi and Texas will get larger and more aggressive. The Texas will probably leave the tank in less than a yr depending on size. Being that they are both males will require them to be seperated. The Buttikoferi will also need to be moved to larger tanks.

The only permanent occupants are the Africans, not including the Butters.

I also plan on a seperate tank(75g) for the Demon fish and Giaint Bumblebee Cat.

I believe in the theory that largely populated tanks reduce the aggressiveness in cichlids, although my Ahli has become a bit hyperdominate. By all means this does not mean go out and buy a bunch of fish.
