I have six Green Terrors and six Red Devils in a 55gal. I know i need a bigger tank but how big. Also if I get any pairs what size tank should I keep the pairs in?

To properly house all of those fish, you will need a tank of atleast 500g, because your fish will swiftly grow to 10-12" or more and will pair off to breed at much smaller sizes. Unless you can provide a tank of this magnitude, you should shoot for a tank around 100g and house a pair of either Red Devils or Green Terrors, or keep a single Red Devil or Green Terror in your current 55g aquarium.

Thanks for the info.I can get a really good deal on a pair of 125s I think ill keep a pair of each.

A pair of each in their own 125g's sounds excellent. And you will still have quite a bit of space in each tank to stock a number of different Catfish, Characins, Cyprinids, or smaller cichlids.
Sounds good.I like the idea of splitting them up into there own 125.

wow you have good water and oxygen to keep those terrors and devils together,what is the temperature?
