Hello, Gypsi, are you sure you have thick skin? Don't you have a picture of it?You know that there 's a lot's of fishes who wear this name. You have to be sure of what you have.

Hi Christophe

The syntax of the files you're trying to call up doesn't appear to belong to a server. If you wish, you can send the photos to gallery @ cichlidforums.com, and we'll host them on this server--or PM CichlidPete for your cichlidgallery.com password and you can then upload them on that site.

SGM do you want to "farm out" any of the Ugandans? I'd take a male and coulple of females.

I just got a male and trio of Astatotilapia latifasciata, sold as obliquidens yesterday. Will post pics so we can compare fish. I want to see what a real "thick skin" looks like. Don't think mine are.

(Answer to my question was in another thread.)

good idea, merlyn...as soon as they get a little more size on them, we can make a deal. a. latifasciata are the fish that are generally referred to as 'zebra obliquidens", and are pretty easy to distinguish from the ones that are usually referred to as 'obliquidens', but trying to distinguish between hap sp. 44 redtail and 'thickskin' is another matter:confused:

...and i got a reverse trio of thoracochromis brauschi, too.

Oh, man! I'd love to have some of those! Saw them at the really expensive lfs last week and you couldn't touch the price. They wanted $199 for a pair!

Where do you get these beauties? Online?

i won an auction. actually, there is another pair up for auction, now. i paid $40 plus shipping for the reverse trio.
