Hey long time no post...I want to move my 70 gallon tank 2 inches forward, is it completely necessary to fully empty the tank to move it or if I empty half way is it possible to slide the stand (thus the tank) forward with out cracking it?

Thanks in advance

I would empty it at least half way.

Cool, thanks. Wasn't sure if it was a bone head idea or not.

as long as you arent completely lifting and walking around with the tank i dont see a problem with it... i have slid quite a few tanks with water in them still

AT LEAST half way..... I'd try to get 3/4 of the water out.... you might not crack anything but a torsional stress can ruin your seals pretty easily.

I always thought the rule was 2" of water is ok to move.

I'll show you a 55g that doesn't agree with this.....
